About the Course

The PADI Divemaster course trains you to lead underwater excursions, assist with scuba classes, and motivate others to care for the ocean. You will refine your diving skills and become a respected diving professional. The PADI Divemaster certification is the most widely recognized professional diving qualification globally, offering numerous career opportunities where you get paid to dive and share your passion for the ocean.

Independent Study: PADI eLearning®

The eLearning portion covers lessons on diver safety, risk management, the aquatic environment, and divemaster-led programs. You can study online or offline and connect with your instructor when needed. The eLearning component requires 8-12 hours of study.

Practical Experience: With Your Instructor

At the dive shop, you will gain hands-on experience in conducting dive briefings, assisting with classes, and leading underwater tours. You will also learn to handle problems, create emergency plans, and enhance your navigation and problem-solving skills through practical workshops.

Course Prerequisites

  • PADI Rescue Diver certification (or an equivalent qualification)

  • Completion of Emergency First Response® Primary and Secondary Care training (or similar) within the past 24 months

  • At least 40 logged dives

  • Medical clearance for diving within the past 12 months

  • Minimum age of 18 (or 15 for Junior Divemaster)
