NITROX

COURSE

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives that do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for SCR or CCR divers.

Expand knowledge Physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes containing more than 40% oxygen. Gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen limitations, nitrogen limitations. Equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen.

Course Structure :

  •  Four dives are required with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes

  •  If advanced nitrox is taught in conjunction with decompression procedures*, only a total of 6 dives are required, more may be conducted at the discretion of the instructor, with a maximum depth of 45 metres / 150 feet

  •  If Advanced Nitrox is taught in conjunction with Intro to Tech or TDI Sidemount*, only a total of four (4) dives are required, more may be conducted at the discretion of the instructor, but all dives must be conducted at depths within the diver’s current level of certification and no dives should exceed 23 metres / 75 feet

  •  Only 2 dives from advanced wreck course may be credited towards the total dives required.

DECOMPRE-SSION

PROCEDURES

COURSE

No- decompression limits (NDLs) a limiting factor to dives? Do you like to stay longer ?.The TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the recreational diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

**This course for: The certified Advanced Diver looking to expand their knowledge of decompression theory and diving techniques. The certified Advanced Diver who is interested in extending their bottom time. The certified Advanced Diver who has interest in moving forward with technical diving education

Course Structure :

  • Four dives are required, 2 of those dives must be deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet

  • If advanced nitrox is taught in conjunction with decompression procedures* only a total of 6 dives are required

  • Only 2 dives from advanced wreck course may be credited towards the total dives required

TDI

HELITROX

COURSE

The TDI Helitrox Diver Course examines the theory, methods, and procedures for planning staged decompression dives utilizing helium in the breathing mixture to reduce the effects of inert gas narcosis.

The TDI Helitrox Diver Course trains divers how to plan and conduct staged decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45 metres/150 feet. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-up, and decompression techniques are also presented during this course. Students are permitted to utilize enriched air nitrox and helium mixes with no greater than 20% helium content, and up to 100% oxygen for decompression diving.

**This course for : The certified Advanced Diver or Intro to Tech Diver looking to expand their knowledge of decompression theory and diving techniques using helitrox. The certified Advanced Diver or Intro to Tech Diver who is interested in extending their bottom time. The certified Advanced Diver or Intro to Tech Diver who has interest in moving forward with technical diving education

Course Structure :

  • 4 dives are required, 2 of those dives must be deeper than 30 metres / 100 Feet

  • If Advanced Nitrox is taught in conjunction with Helitrox, a minimum Of 6 dives are required

EXTENDED

RANGE

COURSE

Certain areas of the world provide spectacular dives at depths deeper than 39 metres/130 feet but you may not have access (or very limited access) to helium. The TDI Extended Range course teaches you the proper techniques for utilizing compressed air as a breathing gas, and with a maximum depth of 55 metres/180 feet, so you don’t have to miss those dives! The TDI Extended Range Diver Course provides the training and experience necessary including proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving, to competently utilize air for dives up to 55 metres/180 feet that require staged decompression, using nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression.

The TDI Trimix course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres / 200 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases. Gas mixes are not to have any less than 18 percent oxygen (O₂).

**This course for : The certified TDI Advanced Nitrox/Decompression Procedures diver looking for the next step in technical dive training. Expand upon your skills, experience, or just go a little deeper to see an area of interest.

Course Structure :

  • Four dives with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes

  • All dives must be deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet with 2 dives deeper than 40 metres / 130 feet

  • A maximum of 2 dives from advanced wreck course may be credited towards the total dives required, at the instructor’s discretion

TRIMIX

COURSE

Reduce narcosis during deep dives and go more deeper? The TDI Trimix Diver Course is your next step! As your motivation to explore progresses, you will find that you may want to go deeper to dive. One of the major limiting factors of going deeper is narcosis; TDI’s Trimix Diver course shows how to minimize the effects of narcosis by adding helium to offset the nitrogen in your breathing gas. While taking the Trimix Diver course your TDI Instructor will teach you how to plan and execute dives utilizing as little as 18 percent oxygen and diving to maximum depth of 60 metres/200 feet with a blend of helium appropriate for the planned depth.

**This course for: The certified Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures diver looking to:

Extend their depth range, Reduce narcosis for all deep dives and advance their technical diving education.

Course Structure :

  •  Four decompression dives using trimix as bottom gas are required with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes

  •  Two of the dives should be deeper than 40 metres / 130 feet

  •  A maximum of 2 dives from the Advanced Wreck course may be credited towards the total dives required, at the instructor’s discretion.

ADVANCED

TRIMIX

COURSE

The TDI Advanced Trimix Diver Course is the top level of training for open circuit divers wishing to dive to depths as deep as 100 metres/330 feet utilizing hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17 percent). This course is perhaps one of the most informative and challenging of all of the TDI open circuit courses. Upon completion, you will be among some of the most elite divers, capable of doing and seeing more while diving than any other divers out there.

The TDI Advanced Trimix course provides the training required to Competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives That require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen (O₂) Mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 100 metres / 330 Feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and Proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures As breathing gases.

**This course for: The TDI Extended Range or Trimix Diver looking to: Extend their depth range and Advance their technical diving education.

Course  Structure:

  • 4 dives are required, 2 of those dives must be deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet

  • If Advanced Nitrox is taught in conjunction with Helitrox, a minimum of 6 dives are required
